It was finely decorated with the pattern of two dragons chasing flaming pearls in iron red. It is in excellent conditions. This is an extremely rare and fine imperial Jiaqing mark and period (AD 1796 - 1820) famille rose porcelain bowl. It was finely decorated on the outside with a snowy mountain landscape scene of the Xihu, the West Lake in Hangzhou, China, one of the Xihu shijing, ten landscape scenes of the West Lake, most probably by a court painter.
