A nice and rare large Yixing zisha teapot from the Tek Sing shipwreck. Yixing teapots from the Tek Sing shipwreck are rare and fine. Most were inscribed and signed. This teapot was signed but the signature is too worn to read. However, it is a nice item because of its fine potting and perfect condition. Date: ca. 1822, the year that the Tek Sing ship wrecked; Height: 5 3/8 inches; length: 8.5 inches; Condition: surface wear due to burial under water for a long time, otherwise perfect.
