This is a very rare Chinese Ming dynasty Wanli period (AD 1572 - 1620) blue and white porcelain jar. It was painted with a scene of scholars playing music and go in a fenced garden which is a common motif of Chinese Wanli period imperial porcelains. A Wanli period blue and white jar shown in the last photo was just sold in an auction in Germany for Euro 4120 or about $4500. The jar here is even rarer. This is a large beautiful antique Empress Dowager Cixi style yellow ground grisaille decorated saucer. It was decorated with a finely painted scene of blossoming peach blossom in grisaille on an imperial yellow ground. The back was further decorated with three floral scrolls in grisaille. This is a fine lime green glazed dragon bowl. It is covered overall with an attractive lime green glaze. It has the shape and incised five-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls decoration of Guangxu period imperial porcelains. The bottom was marked with the six character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue but it was an imperial copy made by the Guangxu imperial kilns. This is a rare and fine Wanli period (AD1572 - 1620) white glazed barbed plate. It was covered overall in an attractive white glaze and has a fine barbed shape. A slightly larger plate (diameter: 7.85 inches) was sold by Sotheby's London on 13 Jul 05 Lot 564 for $2142. Dating: Wanli period (AD1572 - 1620); Diameter: 6.95 inches, diameter of foot: 3.8 inches, height: 1.1 inches; Condition: perfect with slight glaze flaws to the center of the plate.

This is a fine large Qianlong mark and period (AD1735 - 1796) celadon porcelain plate. It was decorated with ruyi shaped clouds, a rebus of fortune, five bats, a rebus of happiness surrounding a central longevity character medallion in cobalt blue on a lustrous celadon glaze. This is a very fine Chinese Northern Song dynasty (AD 960 - 1127) Yaozhou moulded celadon small dish. It was crisply moulded with chrysanthemum scolls and covered all over in a lustrous olive-green glaze. The mouthrim subtly curves backwards, resembling a flower. This shape is extremely rare. I have not yet seen another one in my entire past career. Moreover, it is in excellent condition, with only one chip to the footrim that is most probably a kiln fault.
