A fine and rare Kangxi period (AD1662-1722) carved celadon glazed floral ovoid jar. Of nice ovoid shape, carved with large peony scrolls under a lustrous celadon glaze. In pristine conditions. Kangxi brushpots with similar decoration are popular among collectors. Date: Kangxi period (AD1662-1722); Height: 6 3/4 inches; Condition: pristine but cover was lost.

Here is an important Tang dynasty Yue 'mise' type shard. The Yue 'mise' type ceramics belong to an extremely rare group of ceramics produced as tributes for the Chinese court during the Tang dynasty. They were also presented as diplomatic gifts to Middle Eastern royal families during the Tang dynasty. This is a very rare and fine Ming dynasty, 15th century carved celadon floral garden seat with fitted hard wood stand. It has a finely-potted attractive drum shape. It was beautifully decorated with peony, rose and lotus scrolls around the whole body. The top was decorated with squary grids. The drum studs were moulded into beautiful flower shapes. This is a nice early 20th century famille rose floral baluster vase and cover dated 1919. It was beautifully painted with a large peony and birds, such as, a crane, a peacock, mandarin ducks etc. The back was inscribed with a Chinese title which can be translated as 'The wild life in the garden prospered in spring under the nurture of a virtuous family. It was finely decorated with the pattern of two dragons chasing flaming pearls in iron red. It is in excellent conditions. It was beautifully and spontaneously painted with floral patterns in iron brown under a punchong glaze. The lower half of the vase was broken but nicely repaired. This is a nice and rare Korean Choson dynasty, 15th or 16th century white glazed vase. It has a nicely potted pear shape and is covered in a fine and pure white glaze. During King Sejong's Reign in the early Choson dynasty, white wares were declared the Imperial wares and were reserved for court use. This is a very fine and rare 18th or 19th century white jade sutra plaque. It was made of a very fine piece of mutton fat white jade of an even and very pale milky white tone. It was skilfully carved in intaglio and gilt with the Chinese version of Prajnaparamita Hridaya Sutra, the Heart Sutra on both sides translated by the famous Tang dynasty monk, Xuanzang.
