An extremely rare Ming dynasty Chongzhen period bronze sample coin. Heavily and thickly casted with the finest bronze that is virtually anti-corrosion, crisply carved with four characters, 'Chongzhen Tongbao, the circulating money of the Chongzhen period' on the front and 'Chier, a unit' on the back, finely hand-chased and carved indented edges. A rare and fine Tang dynasty gilt bronze Kaiyuan Tongbao. Finely casted with four characters 'Kaiyuan Tongbao, the circulating money of the Kaiyuan period' and indented edges. Heavily and finely gilt although most of the gilding was worn. It was not circulating money at that time but an Imperial gift from the Tang Emperor Xuanzong. The large round bronze coin with a square hole in the centre, finely casted with bronze of excellent qualities, the three characters, 'di shi jiu, No. 19' perfectly casted in protrusion, the back left blank. The surface patina was formed by soil deposition. Little corrosion because the bronze is of excellent qualities.
