An important and rare Koryo period celadon glazed lotus wine ewer. The cover was applied with a finely carved lotus bud and the handle a lotus stem. It was decorated with carved floral patterns and applied with protruding beads. It was covered overall in an unctuous slightly bluish green glaze except the foot. An extremely rare early Choson period, early 15th century sanggam inlaid punchong vase. It shows influence from fine Chinese Yuan dynasty porcelains. If you examine its shape, you will find that it is a combination of maebyong and applique Yuan blue and white 'guan' jar. This is a nice Korean Choson dynasty, early 18th century white glazed vase. It has a nicely potted pear shape and is covered in a fine and pure white glaze. During King Sejong's Reign in the early Choson dynasty, white wares were declared the Imperial wares and were reserved for court use. This is an extremely rare and fine imperial Korean 15th/16th century Choson Dynasty iron brown decorated punchong pear-shaped vase. It was used for holding wine or decoration in the Korean palace at that time. It was finely and spontaneously painted with two fish patterns in iron brown under the slip glaze.
