RARE HUGE EARLY MING DYNASTY C16-C17 LONGQUAN FISH JAR
A very rare large early Ming dynasty C16-C17 Longquan celadon fish jar. Of attractive huge inverted bell form, finely carved with floral sprays and birds that represent the four seasons in roundel reserves within lappet borders, the undecorated inside and the base are all glazed. It is in very good conditions considering its age. The Sotheby's Hong Kong sold an identical one more than 10 years ago. Date: Ming dynasty, 16th-17th century; Diameter: 44.3cm; Height: 28cm; Conditions: short and faint hairlines to the mouthrim which maybe glaze lines, a little bit warped, no other damages and restorations, tiny chip to foot, excellent for its age.
