Authentic antique Fine Baroque 17th Century Italian School Oil on
Canvas of "Mary Magdalene". The painting depicts the penitent Mary
Magdalene in her grotto with her face rendered with spiritual ecstasy
and long red gold hair, in a sumptuous dress falling from Mary’s arms
as she holds within her hands a skull, and a domed ointment jar which
she used to anoint the feet of Jesus. CONDITION: Minor paint loss,
some crazing throughout, overall in very good condition. The painting
was however put on a new stretching frame many years ago, and since
the canvas is very old, for reinforcement and protection, it was
placed on another layer of support canvas, the frame is a later
replacement. The photographs do not do justice to the fine quality of the
painting. We have included in the listing close up pictures of the two layers of
the canvas, a heavy woven and thick from the 17th century original
canvas, and a 19th century support canvas which is thinner.
MEASUREMENTS: Dimensions with the frame: 134 cm x 108.5 cm (52 3/4
inches x 42 3/4 inches). Dimensions without the frame: 99.7 cm x 734
cm (49 inches x 39 1/4 inches).
Since paintings of Mary Magdalene were very popular in the 17th
century, and Guido Reni painted many versions of this subject, this
particular painting shows great similarity to the other paintings of
Mary Magdalene painted by Guido Reni. In my opinion, it is possibly
that this painting was painted by Guido Reni or someone from his
circle.

Antique circa 1900 A.D. Italian bronze sculpture of a classical Greek athlete by the famous Chiurazzi Foundry in Naples. The sculpture with dark brown patina is superbly executed with stunning detail, eyes, hair, fingers, mounted on a rectangular base, signed with its circular foundry signature “Chiurazzi Napoli”.
DIMENSIONS: Approximately: Height: 53 cm (21 in). Overall Length: 50.7 cm (20 in).
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, except for three fingers in the right hand that are missing, to get better detail, the fingers in this fine sculpture were cast separately, there are visible short wires sticking out by which the fingers were connected to the hand.
Please note that most classical bronze figures on the market exposed as Chiurazzi, are without foundry signature, and just attributed to Chiurazzi. This particular Sculpture is authentic Chiurazzi artwork, with the Chiurazzi Napoli foundry signature.

Antique Painting Polish Saxon Officer Portrait, 18th century
Antique early 18th century portrait of a high rank officer of the Polish – Saxon army from the period of Augustus II, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony. In the time of his reign, and also later in the reign of his son Augustus III, also elected King of Poland, there was a personal union between Saxony and Poland 1697-1763.
DETAILS: An Authentic Antique 18th century large oil on Canvas portrait representing a high rank officer of the Polish – Saxon army of the "Foreign Style" regiments (cudzoziemskiego autoramentu), from the period of Augustus II, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony, most likely a General. He is dressed in red uniform, a coat with large cuffs, and richly adorned with laces, caring on his left side a sword, and holding under his left arm a bicorn hat with a gold bullion ribbon. The Portrait is unsigned as the painter was appointed as something like a photographer, to take an image of the client, not and to have the name of the painter at the front of their image.
CONDITION: Some small holes, approximately four, two horizontal line cracks in the canvas, one damage, a torn canvas at the level of the head. To the reverse of the canvas is glued an old paper, most likely in the 19th century, as the canvas was already very old, therefore for support and reinforcement. At present, the paper at many spots is lost, and the connection with the canvas, and is falling out. No modern restoration was performed to the painting. The painting is on an old stretching frame, and framed in a beautiful gilded antique frame. Dimensions: Including the frame: 84 cm x 68.5 cm (33 in x 27 in), without the frame: 78 cm x 63 cm (30 3/4 in x 24 3/4 in).

Antique 19th century extremely well modeled with fine detail Large Gild Bronze sculpture depicting the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, in his famous standing pose with his hand in his vest, wearing his famous uniform of the Colonel of Chasseurs Cheval de la Garde Imperial, mounted on a stepped pedestal, decorated with the Imperial letter “N” initial monogram.
CONDITION: In excellent condition with warn gilding, which is a good sign of age and usage.

An important late 18th century Spanish Colonial oil painting on a metal plate of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Arguably the most popular and highly revered image in Mexican art, where most on the market are 20th century reproductions. This particular example is an authentic antique 18th century exceptionally fine painting depicting “Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe", surrounded by a brilliant manderola of golden sun rays, clothed in sky blue heavenly robe, with golden stars, and standing on the moon. Legend tells of her appearance to the peasant Juan Diego in 1521, at the mountaintop shrine of the Pre-Columbian goddess Tonantzin. She filled his cloak with roses, and emblazoned her image on his cape, as proof of the miraculous visitation. She is the patroness of the Americas, and is sought to cure all ills.
The painting is within the 19th century wooden frame.
CONDITION: Minor paint loss, otherwise excellent.

An authentic antique Museum Quality 17th century Spanish Baroque Bronze and Ebony
. A gild bronze Corpus Christi mounted on a black ebony cross
with terminals with gilded brass mounts. The head is inclined to the
left and cast with long, curly hair, and an emaciated torso draped
with flowing perizonium about the waist. The cross rests on a turned
base weighted with a lead plate at the bottom for stability. Height:
30.5 cm (12 in). CONDITION: A minor vertical age crack in the wood,
gold gilding worn out in some spots of the bronze figure of Christ.
The crucifix has old repairs which were made over the span of its 300
year history. The lead plate at the base is most likely an early 19th
century addition. The brass rectangular plate is crudely screwed to
the back of the cross to support the structure of the cross, where the
base appears to be added in the late 19th century. We do not perform
any restorations to antiques, or repairs, as it is a sign and proof of
the age.

This remarkable artwork is signed by the artist and is most likely a prototype illustration for a book, as so this is the only original, there does not exist any other except this one. On the back is written "g/2/46" most likely for the year 1946.
Dimensions: 61cm x 39.5cm. (24 in x 15 1/2 in).
Condition: In good condition, there are no repairs or restorations.
