Antique 18th century circa 1750 European infantry sword most likely of Austro - Hungarian origin. Details: A solid brass stirrup hilt in the eastern European hussar style with two side bars and a back-strap decorated on the top by rococo ornament near the almond shape flat pommel, a leather-covered wooden grip bound with twisted brass wire. A broad slightly curved single edged blade cut with a broad full-length fuller on both sides and a back point decorated on each face with engraved martial trophies and deeply struck on the ricasso near the guard with sword smith mark. The wooden scabbard is covered with dark brown leather decorated with an incised design of dots and a tooled band for suspension.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in the scabbard: 107.5 cm (33 3/4 in), the overall length without the scabbard: 84.3 cm (33 1/8).
CONDITION: The sword is in very good condition considering its age (approximately 250 years old).

Very Rare antique 18th century silver mounted Islamic sword 'Shashka' from the famous Central Asian Islamic city Bukhara today in Uzbekistan previously in the former Russian Empire - Turkestan. Details: A slightly curved single edged blade made of very fine Damascus steel with a wide and long fuller. The hilt is with a characteristic hooked bifurcated pommel with grips made of beautifully grained hardwood enclosed by silver straps and applied with settings of rounded turquoises. Identified as Caucasian Shasqua, these types of Shashka were also used by the Russian Central Asian Cossacks. The Bukhara arms are hardly ever seen in museums including Russia.
REFERENCES: 1) A similar sword is in the famous Henri Moser collection of Islamic arms and armour in Charllotenfels, Switzerland and had been collected during his travel in the 19th century through central Asia. Orientalische Sammlung Henri Moser, Charlottenfels, im Bernischen historischen Museum.

Authentic Antique 17th century Indian Mughal mace (shashbura, lung tearer) Islamic Persian Shishpar literally means "six blade". Details:Made entirely of steel, head formed of nine flanges, below a domed finial, and a cylindrical haft with a Khanda sword type basket hilt. The mace was one of the principal weapons used for hand-to-hand fighting and was commonly hung from a saddle. These types of maces were used widely in Eastern Europe. Measurements: Overall length: 79 cm (31 in). Condition: Chipped guard, two small holes in disc pommel, very dark age patina.

Authentic Antique 19th century Imperial Russian Cossacks sword Shashka in characteristic Caucasian form. Details: slightly curved single edged blade cut with two long fullers, the hilt with black horn grip-scales and hooked bifurcated gold gilt silver pommel decorated with knobbed pattern and pair of nielloed crescents, with its original leather covered wooden scabbard.
CONDITION: the scabbard in the lover part was broken and has an old repair.
MEASUREMENTS: overall length with the scabbard: 92 cm (36 ¼ in), the overall length without scabbard: 91,5 cm (36 in).

Antique 17th-18th century Islamic sword - Shamshir in the traditional Persian style with a curved single edged blade made of Damascus steel Wootz, however since the entire surface of the blade is slightly pitted the pattern is not visible. Hilt construction: Dark brown horn grips, steel pommel and steel crossguard with long quillons of square section and knob finials. The sword has a very good balance and is still very sharp.
CONDITION: The sword is with wear and pitting.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 92 cm (36 ¼ in).

Rare antique 19th century sword Jimpul of the famous Dayak headhunters from Borneo. DETAILS: A handle elaborately carved from a polished deer antler showing age and usage patina with a hand forged (visible welded-pattern) sturdy single edge curved blade widening towards the end, cut on both sides with fullers, the lower part of the blade along the back edge is pierced and engraved with scrollwork. Most of the head hunters Dayak swords seen on the market are Mandau Parang, this rare Dayak sword Jimpul seldom appears on the market. Both Jimpul and Mandau swords are from Kalimantan (Borneo) and both are associated with the head hunting tradition of the Dayak, however the Jampul is a favored sword of the Kenyah known as Sea Dayak and famous as the sinister pirates.
CONDITION: The blade is lightly pitted overall, with minor wear; the bone handle is chipped with one age crack.

Antique 17th century circa 1650, Indian Mughal horseman’s sword Firangi. The name Firangi is derived from Frank (Western Foreigner), and was given to these swords in the 17 Century by Indians, as the blades for these swords were imported European blades, which were highly valued. Details: A long straight single edged steel blade of European origin with two fullers stamped and mounted in the classical Khanda form iron hilt with a guard and pommel spike. MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 117.5 cm (46 ¼ inches), length of the blade 102 cm (40 1/8 inches), width of the blade 1 3/8 in (3.5cm). CONDITION: In good condition considering its age with a nice old patina, except for some pitting, which can be expected from an over 300 year old sword.
