Antique 19th century extremely large, Indo Persian, Islamic Sword “Khyber Knife” or “Salawar Yatagan”. This is the national sword of the Afridis and many other tribes living in and near the Khyber Pass, Turkistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Details: straight and heavy single-edged T section steel blade tapering gradually from the hilt to the point .The hilt is formed of two pieces of bone grips riveted to the tang, the guard- slight projection of the hilt. In its original wooden scabbard covered by tooled leather fitted with a steel suspension band and large chape cut with fluting pattern. The sword is in a very good condition. The overall length in the scabbard is 80, 5 cm (27inches)

Antique 18th - 19th century Ottoman-Greek sword Yatagan with the scabbard with a characteristic ear shaped hilt. DETAILS: The hilt with horn grips scales mounted in white metal engraved with foliage and scrolls. The recurved single edged blade is decorated with silver inlaid calligraphy and is signed in the Greek alphabet 'MAXI MIXO". Leather - bound and stitched with spiral brass wire wooden scabbard mounted with locket and chape.
MEASUREMENTS: The total length with the scabbard: 68,5 cm (27 in). CONDITION: The sword is in good condition except for some old repairs on the join of the white metal mountings.
REFERENSES: Yatagan's with Greek inscriptions are extremely rare, and over the years I have seen many Yatagans, but I have not seen a Yatagan with a Greek inscription, this is the first one which I have seen.

Extremely rare 16th century Turkish Ottoman sword Kilig with curved single edged steel blade brooding towards the tip. DETAILS: both sides of the forte with a characteristic for late Mameluke and early Ottoman’s swords gold damascened medallions with Kufic calligraphy, the hilt is 18th century replacement with wooden grip-scales and silver back-strap and crossguard.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 90cm (35 ½ in).
REFERENSES: Similar blades are in collection of Top Saray Museum “Islamic Swords and Swordsmiths” by Unsal Yucel Plate No. 36 and 103.

Rare, late 16th century - early 17th century Dalmatian – Venetian sword Palash. DETAILS: broad double edged tapering blade cut with three slender fullers on each face (characteristic type for a Venetian Schiavonea), stamped with the bladesmith's mark, steel hilt of "D" shape comprising the back quillon with chiseled knob terminal, front quillon decorated with chiseled stylized dragon head terminal with triangular section knuckle-guard decorated with dots, hilt formed of two pieces of horn riveted to the tang with a rectangular steel pommel.
MEASUREMENTS: The overall length is 87 cm (34 1/4 in).

Superb 18th - 19th century Turkish Ottoman Sword Yatagan in the scabbard with a characteristic walrus ear shaped hilt. DETAILS: the hilt is made of two large pieces of walrus ivory mounted in gold gilded metal decorated in a typical Balkan raised knobbed design, the recurved single edged blade with a narrow fuller is ornamented with silver and gold inlaid Arabic calligraphy, in its original leather covered wooden scabbard with brass fittings. REFERENSES: The Yatagan sword was very popular not only in Turkey but also in many Balkan states and some Eastern European countries such as Ukraine and Hungary.
MEASUREMENTS: The total length with the scabbard: 77 cm (30 1/4 in). CONDITION: Two cracks in the ivory hilt, otherwise in good condition.

A superb antique 18th century Turkish Ottoman flintlock Gun miquelet rifle with a very high quality Toe-lock decorated with chiseled and silver inlaid foliate arabesques and applied corals. The wooden full stock is richly ornamented with corals, turquoises, and ivory, and superbly engraved with silver plaques. The smoothbore barrel is secured by decorated in repousse and engraved silver bands.
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 157.5 cm (62 inches).
REFERENCES : A comparable Ottoman gun; (1) Imperial gift of Russian Tsar for Augustus II King of Poland and Elector of Saxony on his coronation in Krakow is published in the book “Prunkwaffen: Waffen und Rustungen aus dem Historischen Museum Dresden” by Johannes Schobel (Leipzig, 1973) p.249, pl. 178. (2) A similar Turkish Gun was in the Christie's Islamic Art and Manuscripts sale, London 27 April 1995 at the price of £6,000-7,000.

An authentic antique 17th century sword falchion with a slightly curved single-edged blade cut with a narrow groove. The forte is engraved on each side with martial trophies, the iron hilt of flattened bars is with down-curved quillons each swelling towards the tip with a strongly recurved knuckle-guard, the outer ring-guard is incurved and waisted at the centre and joins to the diagonal bar, a bevelled rhino horn grip with a steel collar at the base and an octagonal cap pommel, in a black leather scabbard with steel mounts. Overall length with the scabbard: 86,5 cm (34 in) Condition: In good condition overall with minor wear and pitting. The scabbard and the engraving on the blade are 18th century additions.
