Rare, American Revolutionary War period sabre with slightly curved single –edged, heavy and thick blade struck with the maker’s name “Wooley & Deakin” (18th century sword smith from Birmingham). Only few of American swords with Wooley & Deakin blades survived to the present date, for example in the book “American Swords” from the Philip Medicus Collection are illustrated only two swords made by Wooley & Deakin, both of them are with American made hilts. The hilt of this sword is also American made and is a rare example of an early American hilt pattern.
DETAILS: brass stirrup hilt with brass pommel and reeded wooden grip.
CONDITION: crack on the side of the handle.
MEASUREMENTS: overall length 87cm (34 ¼ inches), length of the blade: 75cm (29 ½ inches).

Antique, late 19th century, American lodge sword of a chevalier of the patriarch militant- the uniformed branch of the independent order of odd fellows (I.O.O.F). The independent order of odd fellows is a fraternal organization that originated in England and was established in the United States by Thomas Wildey in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 26, 1819.
DETAILS: straight double edged still blade etched and gold gilded and signed on ricasso by the maker “Roundy & son Chicago”, gold gilded brass hilt with the guard decorated with Masonic symbols, in its original engraved scabbard with ornate mountings.
CONDITION: overall in fine condition.
MEASUREMENTS: overall length in a straight line is 95 cm (37 ½ inches).

Antique British 1912 pattern cavalry officer’s sword with nickel plated and chased with scrolling foliage large steel basket hilt, wire bound leather grip. Straight single edged blade with spear point and fuller etched on the both sides with royal Arms and the cypher GRV amongst the acanthus scrolls. Forte etched with Star of David. Nickel plated steel scabbard square end, detachable mouthpiece with two suspension rings.
CONDITION: same wear to nickel plate minor bubbling and corrosion on the scabbard and basket.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in scabbard 111.7cm (44 in)

A typical 18th century American sword - sabre with curved steel blade, double edged towards the point and narrow fuller. DETAILS: bone hilt with an animal head pommel carved with characteristic 18th century Revolutionary War fashion, steel recurved knuckle-guard with hammered leaf pattern. CONDITION: the blade is slightly pitted and one chip in the bone animal head (see pictures). MEASUREMENTS: entire length in straight line: 88, 5cm (34 7/8 in). Length of blade: 74, 3cm (29 1/4 in), width of blade near handle: 3, 5cm (1 3/8 in).

Antique, American Civil War non –commissioned officer’s sword, model 1840. DEITAILS: straight, plain, single-edged blade dated 1863, stamped on ricasso on other side with manufacture's name, cast brass hilt with two rigid handguards is stamped on the knuckle bow with “WA” and some other markings, the pommel marked with “WA”, in its original iron scabbard with brass throat and tip. Antique, European hunting sword hanger, 18th century, circa 1750 AD. DETAILS: straight single edged blade towards to the point, stamped with the maker mark on each face, bras hilt with down-turned shell-guard cast and chased in low relief with scene of Orpheus with his lute, knuckle-guard and cap pommel decorated en suite and fluted horn grip with a brass collar. Overall length; 69,3 cm (27 ¼ in.). REFERENCES: “Swords & Daggers” by Frederic Wilkinson “plate 90 and 91. “Swords & Blades of the American Revolution” by George C. Neumann page 91 and 92, these types of swords were popular in 18th century America and widely used by American infantry during the American Revolutionary War.
