Antique early 19th century French Napoleonic period time Officer Chapeau made of Black beaver and decorated with a silver thread ribbon, the interior is with remains of the original white silk leather lining.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 46 cm (18 in). Height: From the base of the hat to the highest point: 23 cm (9 in)
CONDITION: The hat is in good condition considering its age with minor wear, the copper button on the front is a later replacement.

Antique 17th century Thirty Year War period (1618–1648) North European Backplate formed of one plate flanged outwards at the base with plain turns at the neck and arm–opening and pierced with holes at each shoulder and each side of the waist for attaching shoulder-straps and the waist-belt.
CONDITION: A black lacquered finish overall, in very good condition for its age, some light pitting.
MEASUREMENTS: Height: 43 cm (17 in), width at the widest point of the base: 45.5 cm (18 in).

Antique Imperial Russian Navy officer Bicorn - Cocked Hat trimmed and
edged with golden-brown velvet ribbon adorned on one end with a gold
bullion fringe.
REFERENCES: A comparable Imperial Russian Cocked Hat is published
in the book “Collecting Military Headgear. A Guide to 5000 Years of
Helmet History” by Robert Attard. Page: 244-245.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 39.5 cm (15 ½ in)
CONDITION: The beaver is completely worn
out, lacking front decoration, absence of interior silk lining, the
skull of the hat is covered by loose black velvet most likely a later
replacement. The rim of the interior has a hand written label “1810
1815?” However in our opinion this hat is from the second half of the
19th century.

A rare antique 17th century circa 1640 English Royalist Harquebusier’s Cavalry Lobstertail helmet from the English Civil War period 1642-1651. Details: The scull is made of two pieces joined medially along a low comb and projecting forward as a broad down –turned peak with a recessed border, flanged outwards at the front to form a pointed peak with folded edges decorated with domed rivets, fitted with a sliding nasal-bar retained by a wing-headed screw at the nape of the neck with a plume –holder, The neck guard is riveted to the scull and is made from a single piece of metal embossed to simulate four lames occupied by round headed lining – rivets with remains of their leather lining –bands and its sides fitted with broad pendent cheek-pieces.
CONDITION: A black lacquered finish overall, in very good condition for its age, some light pitting, a small rust hole at the top of the comb (please see the picture). These types of Lobstertail Helmets were made during the period time of the Thirty Year war in Northern Europe, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia, and were imported into England for use by Royalist forces loyal to King Charles I. This particular type of Lobstertail Helmet is not as common as the German Papeinhaimer Lobstertail helmets that are with neck guards made of individual lames.
MEASUREMENTS: Height from the top of the comb to the end of the neck guard: 26 cm (10 ¼ inches)

(3) Also similar Royalist Harquebusier’s Lobster tail helmet with a one-piece neck guard is published in the book "Body Armor" by Robert Woosnam-Savage and Anthony Hall, Page 88, Description: ‘A harquebusier’s, pot, of the 1640s possibly made in the Netherlands. It was imported into England for use by Royalist forces loyal to Charles I.’

Late 19th century French Cuirassier's helmet which had been captured by Germans and which was incorporated with a German miner badge plate with the cipher "EL" and then used as a parade miner helmet in the city Biberach Riss. The brass skull of the helmet is with a brass crest and Medusa's head, and is with the original black horsehair tuft. Leather-backed brass chinscales with rosettes complete with its original leather lining. On the Interior of the visor attached is an oval logo which reads "J.G, Lier Biberach Riss".
MEASUREMENTS: Height: approximately 24 cm (9 ½ in).
