Early 20 century, bronze plaque of Stanislaw Staszic; a priest, philosopher, statesman, geologist, scholar; poet and writer one of the leaders of the Polish Enlightenment (1755-1826) signed by Jozef Aumiller with the stamp on the back of the foundry “Mennica Panstwowa”. “Józef (Joseph) Aumiller (1892-1963)-sculptor and engraver. Between 1925-39 art director of the Polish foundry “Mennica Panstwowa”. His style reflects influences of the French artist since frequently he visited Paris before WWII. He was the author of the most projects-portrait plaques done in the foundry “Mennica Panstwowa”.
MEASUREMENTS: Size: 2 ½ inches (8,4 cm) x 3 ½ inches (9,3 cm).
CONDITION: good, nice age patina.

A beautifully executed and hand painted with fine sculptured details German Scheibe Alsbach porcelain figurine depicted Emperor Napoleon sitting on a chair wearing his favorite uniform of Colonel of Chasseurs Cheval de la Garde Imperial holding a sword with his left foot up on a cannon and the map of Europe beside. Marked on the side of the base in blue with a crossed S and “Germany” on the bottom of the base. The "S" marked with the word "Germany" has been used by the Scheibe - Alsbach, Thuringia Company since 1905, which dates the piece to the 20th century.
CONDITION: In excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs.
MEASUREMENTS: Height: 19.7 cm (7 ¾ in) length 20 cm (7 7/8 in).
