Gild-bronze and ebony Spanish Crucifix, Baroque, 17th – 18th century. DETAILS: The figure of Christ is made of gild bronze and is mounted on black ebony cross with gilded brass mounted ands, resting on a turned ebony base with lead plate on the bottom for stability. The figure of Christ has the head leaning to the left of the figure and the feet are nailed together. The loin-cloth is short, folded in horizontal folds and knotted in the centre.
