Antique 18th century Indo Persian Islamic armour arm guard (Bazuband) of characteristic form made of hand forged steel profusely chiselled in low relief with three medallions containing Persian figures, heightened with gold-damascened borders on a floral and vegetal ground deviated by lobed panels depicting various animals.
MEASUREMENTS: Length 31 cm (12 1/4 in). Width at the widest point: 10 cm (3 7/8 inches). CONDITION: in good condition considering its age, except for worn gold damascening ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED TO BE AUTHENTIC ANTIQUES, AND NOT REPRODUCTIONS.
