Rare Wedgwood Rockingham Glaze Coffee Pot
This Wedgwood coffee pot is in the bute shape with gorgeous dark brown Rockingham glaze. It measures 8" tall, and 8" from the handle to the spout. It is marked WW, what appears to be LL, O or D or 2 tool marks. This piece dates to circa 1823-1859 (this piece was made prior to the 3 digit earthenware dating system.) The coffee pot is featured in The Newly Illustrated Dictionary of Wedgwood by Robin Reilly, p. 370. There are some surface scratches on the sides and handle in the clear glaze only, otherwise perfect, very light weight
