|This Wooton desk dates to the third quarter 19th century and belonged to O'Neil Ford, Texas' most famous architect, recently acquired from his estate. The piece is in good condition, and was used through many years of his career. This Wooton desk measures 60 1/2" tall by 46" wide by 33" deep. Wooton desks were created by William S. Wooton of Indianapolis in 1874. They are best known for their high number of compartments, allowing records and office supplies to be stored in one place. The doors open to either side, revealing interior pigeon holes and compartments, and the main body of the desk has a drop-down writing surface. This is a great, hard to find piece.|
