Golden Bronze Dogs by Robert Bousquet
This golden bronze, on a marble base, by Robert Bousquet is a fine example of his work. Bousquet was born in 1894 and died in 1917 at the age of 23.His work was exhibited in the Paris Salon from 1912-1914. This particular bronze depicts two dogs one in an upright form and the other in a resting form. The dog standing measures 13 1/2 in. at its tallest point and 19 1/4 in. at its widest point. The resting dog measures 9 3/4 in. at its tallest point and 15 1/2 in. at its widest point. The marble base measures at 27 inches long and 8 3/4 inches deep.
