| A wonderful, whimsical early 20th Century Pocket Watch Fob. The Fob is made of 4 exquisitely carved three dimensional faces detailed with hand coloring of Japanese Ivory NOH Masks, they are attached to each other by rings which are screwed into the Ivory. Graduated in size, 1/4" to 3/4", the fob is 5" long. It is articulated. The metal of the rings is Brass and the clip is an unmarked Silver color metal. The Fob may have begun its life as a different object, perhaps part of a necklace? I just do not know. The artistry in the carving is of first quality and the condition is very nice with only some minor age cracks on the back. There is one brass connector ring missing. Still a very unusual Japanese Ivory piece for your collection. No International Sales please. | |||||||||||||||
