Dial Marked "Bullard Brothers, St. Paul, Very early Chelsea ... one of the first perhaps the first House Strike Commander Model Chelsea ... Hinged Bezel, Bronze Case, 6 inch Dial, Great clock for the Chelsea collector.
Of all my Crystal Regulators, this French clock is my favorite.
It won an award in Paris in 1855. The pendulum weights are filled with real mercury ... unlike most American clocks which have a metal slug.
The case on this clock is wonderful; I will take more photos to allow
you to view the art that went into this French Crystal Regulator.
Note the specially made key for adjusting the timing. The chime of this clock is SPECIAL ... very Gentle/soft. Great even for a bedroom.
