A pair of elegantly shaped, finely painted, prunus pattern vases. The bases carry the apocryphal reign mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1711) but these items were made later, probably for export, during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - Vase Two (pictured to the right) is in very good condition with just two minor glaze imperfections (see enlargement 9) no chips or cracks and no restoration; Vase One (pictured to the left) is damaged - there is an under rim chip (see enlargement 5) and an 11cm (wide and long) section on the shoulder has been broken and re-glued (please see enlargements 2,3 & 6). Additional pictures are available on request. Both 30cm (11.8inches) high.

A very finely carved oval-shaped white jade plaque depicting a five-clawed dragon amongst scrolling foliage. This item was probably made in China during the late 16th/early 17th Century, possibly during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition - very good - there are two chips to the reverse side (please see enlargement 2), no further damages or losses. 9.5cm (3.75ins) long; 5.3cm (2.1ins) wide.

A rare and very fine 13th - 14th Century bronze Water Dropper in Long Gui "Dragon Turtle" form. This item was probably made in China during the Yuan dynasty (AD1279-1368). Condition - very good - there is some copper oxidation and wear consistent with age but no damages or restoration; there are traces of the original gilding. (Additional pictures available on request) 10.5cm (4.2ins) long; 7cm (2.75ins) wide; 4.5cm (1.75ins) high. Weight 400gm (15oz).

Two thickly potted celadon glazed dishes decorated with bright famille rose enamels. These items were made in China, probably circa 1840, during the reign of the Daoguang emperor (1821-1850). Condition - there are chips to the rim and to the foot rim (for the most obvious, please see enlargements 5 and 7); there are no cracks and there has been no restoration. 18.5cm (7.25inches) diameter.

A six-sided porcelain wine pot warmer painted in Qianjiang style with a scene on one side from a Chinese opera relating to stories from the Three Kingdoms period. On the other side is a poem which we have, as yet, been unable to read. It is signed and dated to 1903. Condition - very good - there are glaze imperfections and there are two chips to the base rim (please view enlargement 2); no further damages and no restoration. 10.7cm (4.2inches) high; 10cm (4inches) across.

A pale yellow double gourd vase with under glaze white enamel decoration painted on each side with two birds on flowering prunus branches. The base carries the four character mark "Jingdezhen Zhi" (made in Jingdezhen). This item was made in the second quarter of the 20th Century during the Republic period (1911-1949). Condition - there is a light 0.7cm (0.3inch) hairline to the rim (please view enlargements 8 and 9); no further damages and no restoration. 16.5cm (6.5inches) high.

A small twin-handled bronze censer, finely casted and with good patina. The base carries a rare two character seal script mark which reads "Cang Ju". It was probably made in the 17th Century, during the late Ming or early Qing dynasty. This item is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. Condition - excellent - no damages. 10cm (4 inches) across; 5.5cm (2.5 inches) high. Weight - 425gm (15oz).
17世纪 “藏凥”款铜香炉
一件工艺精湛的双耳小铜香炉，包浆不错。底有小篆“藏凥”款识。作于17世纪，约明末清初时期。这件香炉是一位英国建筑师的旧藏。他出生于中国，曾旅居上海，1931年他带着这件香炉回到英国。

A finely worked silver tea strainer intricately carved with flowering plants, shou and fu (long life and good luck) characters and Tang dynasty style squirrel and grapes. The jadeite handle is surmounted with a stylized bat. This item was made in China for export, circa 1890-1910. Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 17cm (6.7 inches) long; 7.6cm (3 inches) diameter.
