A rare and very fine bronze Water Dropper in Long Gui "Dragon Turtle" form. This item was made in China during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Condition - very good - there is some copper oxidation and wear consistent with age but no damages or restoration; there are traces of the original gilding. (Additional pictures available on request) 10.5cm (4.2ins) long; 7cm (2.75ins) wide; 4.5cm (1.75ins) high. Weight 400gm (15oz).

A six-sided porcelain wine pot warmer painted in Qianjiang style with a scene on one side from a Chinese opera relating to stories from the Three Kingdoms period. On the other side is a poem which we have, as yet, been unable to read. It is signed and dated to 1903. Condition - very good - there are glaze imperfections and there are two chips to the base rim (please view enlargement 2); no further damages and no restoration. 10.7cm (4.2inches) high; 10cm (4inches) across.

A small twin-handled bronze censer, finely casted and with good patina. The base carries a rare two character seal script mark which reads "Cang Ju". It was probably made in the 17th Century, during the late Ming or early Qing dynasty. This item is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. Condition - excellent - no damages. 10cm (4 inches) across; 5.5cm (2.5 inches) high. Weight - 425gm (15oz).

A finely worked silver tea strainer intricately carved with flowering plants, shou and fu (long life and good luck) characters and Tang dynasty style squirrel and grapes. The jadeite handle is surmounted with a stylized bat. This item was made in China for export, circa 1890-1910. Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 17cm (6.7 inches) long; 7.6cm (3 inches) diameter.

A rare and unusual heavy porcelain bitong (brushpot) moulded in the form of a bamboo section with four applied birds in flight and covered with a thick blueish green glaze suffused with tiny bubbles. The base and interior are unglazed. This item was made in China in the 18th Century, possibly during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). Condition - there is an inside the rim chip, in glaze discoloration and under glaze firing cracks. 9.4cm (3.7inches) high; 10.6cm (4.3inches) high. Weight 0.6kg (1lb 5oz)

The base carries the six-character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later, probably during the late 16th or early 17th Century. This censer is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs. 15.5cm (6.1 inches) across; 5cm (2 inches) high. Weight 0.84kg (1lb 13.5 oz).

A rare, very finely painted, Landscape Vase decorated in Yongzheng / Qianlong style (c1725-1750) but, because we have been unable to find any early 18th Century vases in this shape, we have reluctantly concluded that this item was probably made later, circa 1800-1850. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 18cm (7inches) high. Weight 300gm (11oz).

This censer is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. Condition - very good - there are minor surface bumps and abrasions (most noticeable on the base next to the reign mark - please view enlargements 4, 8 and 9); no further damages and no repairs. 9cm (3.5 inches) high; 16cm (6.3 inches) across. Weight 1.4kg (3.5lb).

一件双耳三足铜香炉，底有“大明宣德年制”六字款，但约作于清康熙年间。这件香炉是一位英国建筑师的旧藏。他出生于中国，曾旅居上海，1931年他带着这件香炉回到英国。
品相：很好。表面有轻微的凹陷和划痕（最明显的一处在底部接近款识处，见图4、图8和图9）。无其他损伤或修补。高9厘米，宽16厘米。重1.4公斤。
