A bronze "bombe" form censer with original stand, profusely carved with mythical creatures and traditional stories and with two fish handles. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later during the last 100 years of the Qing dynasty (circa 1810-1910). Condition very good - no damages or repairs. 24cm (9.5inches) across; 12cm (4.9inches) high with stand. Stand 17cm (6.7inches) diameter. Weight 2.5kg (5.5lbs).

A fine and large Hu form reddish earthenware vase, the exterior covered with a silvered green lead glaze. Both the form and the glaze colour are in imitation of contemporary bronze vessels. The nine-sided faceted foot shape is an extremely rare occurrence. This item was made in China during the middle period of the Han dynasty (206 BC to AD 220. Condition - excellent - it is rare to find a large vessel such as this without cracks or restoration. There are small chips and there is the usual glaze degradation consistent with two thousand years burial as are the root mark traces within the foot and internally. Much of the glaze on the rim has been 'cleaned' away. 43cm (17 inches) high.
汉代 陶壶
一件大型精美的陶壶，胎身偏红色，外部施以绿彩，表面有银色光泽。器型及其色彩都模仿了当时的青铜器。底足有九个边，这样的设计非常少见。约作于汉代中期。
品相：像这样大的器型没有裂纹没有修复的的确少见。有几个小磕，釉彩因为年代久远有些退化，或因两千年来一直埋于地下，底足和内部略有些植物根茎的痕迹。口沿部位的釉彩大多已经被“清理”掉了。高43厘米。

A good 19th Century bowl and cover finely painted in famille rose enamels with sectional decoration depicting historically famous people with associated poems. On the body is: Mu Lan (enlargement 1) the warrior heroine who joined the army disguised as a man to protect her elderly father from military service; and Dong Fang Man Qian (enlargement 3, also known as Dong Fang Shuo who was a famous poet and politician during the Han dynasty (206 BC-AD 220). On the cover is An Jin Zang (enlargement 10), a Court Musician in Tang dynasty. Wu (the only Queen during the Tang) questioned the loyalty of Prince Li Dan so, to prove the Prince's innocence, An Jin Zang cut himself through the belly and pledged that he would cut out his own heart if the Queen maintained her suspicions. Also represented on the cover is Tao Gong (enlargement 7) a Daoist who, in pursuit of immortal life, mummified his own body. The bowl and cover carry the iron red reign mark of the Daoguang emperor (1821-1850). Condition - there is a light 2cm hairline to the cover (please see enlargement 9); no further damage and no restoration. 12cm (5.75inches) high; 11cm (4.3inches) diameter.

A heavy 18th Century double walled cup - the outer wall carved with reticulated decoration and painted with small famille rose flowers. This item was made in China during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition there is a hairline to the inner wall which does not continue to the outside (please see enlargements 6 and 7) and there is very extensive wear to the gilding; there are no chips and there has been no restoration. 7cm (2.8inches) high; 7.7cm (3inches)diameter. Weight - 0.16 kg (6oz)

A finely painted jar depicting two Scholars under a pine tree in a garden landscape. One Scholar is accompanied by a boy servant holding a fish; the other is in conversation with a Buddhist Monk. The base carries the four character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) but this item was made later,possibly for export, during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 17.5cm (6.9 inches) high.
清光绪 仿康熙风格青花人物罐
一件青花人物罐，上画松柏下两学士与一僧侣正在对话，旁有一书童手持一条鱼。底有“康熙年制”四字款，但是约为光绪时期作品，可能是外销品。

A small enamelled copper box, the cover depicting a grasshopper or cricket amongst grasses and flowers. The base carries a "CHINA" stamp which dates it to post 1890. This item was probably made circa 1900, during the latter years of the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - there are spots and blemishes to the enamel on the cover and there are losses to the enamel on the sides. 4.1cm (1.6 inches) long; 3.1cm (1.25 inches) wide; 1.4cm (0.55 inches) high.
19世纪末 铜胎画珐琅圆盒
一件铜胎画珐琅圆盒，盖上画有花草昆虫。底有"CHINA"盖印，说明为1890年后作品。此件约作于1900年，光绪末期。

A large blue and white Rouleau shaped vase, finely painted in 17th/18th Century Kangxi style depicting a Phoenix in flight over blossoming Peony shrubs and rock work. This item was made in China during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). There is a hairline running from the tail of the Phoenix to the centre of the Peony flower (please view enlargements 8 and 9); no other damages and no restoration. 45.8cm (18 inches)high.
