A very rare small flower-shaped earthenware dish covered with fine crackular turquoise glaze. The base is unglazed. This item was made in China during the Tang dynasty (AD 618-907). Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 7.5cm (3 inches) diameter.

A "naive" style painted and glazed pottery figure of a horse made in China, for burial, during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Condition - generally very good - the corners of the base have been broken and three re-glued and there is a crack to one rear leg but no significant damages or losses. 20cm (8 inches) high; 21cm (8.25 inches) long.

品相:基本很好。底座边角有修,马一条后腿有一裂缝,但无较大的损伤或脱落。高20厘米,长21厘米。

A very rare Chinese earthenware painted pottery figure of a bearded Western foreigner, with conical hat and back pack, dating to the Tang Dynasty (618-906AD). There are two similar currently on display in the British Museum - described as "Ceramic figures of Pedlars from the West" and dated to the 8th Century AD (Seligman Bequest, OA 1973-7-26-192 and 1936 10-12-56). Condition - extremely good - there are firing cracks but, unusually, no damages and no restoration. Much of the original pigment is still present. 10.3inches (26cm)high.

一件稀有的唐代西域步行者彩陶俑,人物络腮胡,戴尖头帽,背一背包。大英博物馆近期有类似的器物展出,名为西域步行者陶俑,年代定为公元8世纪(Seligman捐献,编号分别为OA1973-7-26-192和1936 10-12-56)
品相:非常好。有窑裂,但是无损伤或修复。原有的色彩大多仍可见。高10.3厘米。

A large earthenware wine jar,Hu, with green lead glaze much of which is covered with a silvery iridescence(caused by long burial and exposure to moisture). On the shoulder is a low relief moulded frieze depicting a number of animals and a figure on horseback in what is possibly a hunting scene. On each side are animal masks with rings - in a style similar to contemporary door knockers. This item was made circa 100 BC - 8 AD. Similar examples have been found in late Western Han tombs in Henan and Shaanxi provinces in Central China. Condition - there are chips to the base and there are chips and a number of cracks to the rim - the largest being about 7cm in length. There is wear to the relief decoration and extensive glaze degradation. Height 11 inches (28cm).

一件大尺寸的绿釉陶壶,上有银色光泽(与长时间深埋地下及暴露于湿气中有关)。壶肩有模印的动物及骑马的图案,或为狩猎景象。两边各有一只异兽衔环图案这与同时期的门环图案相似。此件约作于公元前100年至公元8年间。在中国河南和陕西的西汉晚期墓室中还发现类似的作品。
品相:底有磕口,口沿有磕及冲缝最长的一条约为7厘米。壶肩图案上有划痕及大量的釉面脱失。高28厘米。

A rare Chinese export teapot with unusual blue enamel floral decoration. This item was made circa 1750 for export - probably to France. The stirrup-shaped handle has been off and re-glued. There is a metal replacement tip to the spout. There are a number of hairline cracks radiating from where the spout joins the body. There are also firing cracks to the peach-shaped finial and a small chip to the air-vent on the lid. The gilding to the handle and finial is very worn.

稀有的18世纪中期外销茶壶
一件白底蓝珐琅彩外销茶壶。约为1750年左右出口至法国的外销瓷。
品相:壶把掉落从新黏合,壶嘴有修补,壶嘴与壶身相接处有多处冲缝。壶钮上有窑裂,壶盖小孔处有一小磕。壶把和壶钮上的镀金脱落严重。
