A very finely decorated Satsuma earthenware vase,depicting five ladies and ten boys in a garden landscape, made for export in Japan during the Meiji period (1868 to 1911). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 6.2 inches (15.5cm) high.

A sectionally carved ivory okinomo of an elderly gentleman made for export in Japan during the Meiji period (1868 to 1911). Condition - good - there is an old crack to the base and the left hand appears to be an inverted right hand. 5 inches (13cm) high. Please note - purchasers from outside the European Union will require a CITES Certificate and may also require import documentation within their own country.

A large Japanese stoneware koro (incense burner), decorated with coloured enamels on a celadon glazed ground, depicting mythical beings. The cover is surmounted by a Shishi. This item was made circa 1880 - 1920 during either the Meiji or Taisho periods. Condition - two of the three legs have been restored. 10.25 inches (26cm) high, 9 inches (23cm) across.

A good pair of ruby red/"pigeon blood" baisse-taille enamel vases hammered and carved in low relief depicting sparrows and styalized bamboo. These items are unsigned and were made in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - very good. No damages. 4.8 inches (12cm) High.

A rare bronze Japanese plaque, finely decorated with gold and silver, depicting scholars, a sage and a boy in a garden landscape. This item was made during the Meiji period (1868-1911) and is signed on the back. Condition - the foot rim appears to have been soldered - otherwise excellent. No damages. 10.75 inches (27.3cm) Diameter.

Sold to USA March 2008 售至美国 - 2008年3月 

A cloisonne enamel plaque or large dish depicting a finch amongst peony and convulvulus flowers. This item was made for export in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - good overall - there is surface wear but no damage to the interior. Most of the gilding to the rim has worn away and there is an area of enamel loss (impact damage) to the footrim. No further damage and no restoration.

An attractively carved okinomo, depicting three sparrows on a branch, made in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1911) for export to Europe or the U.S. Condition very good. There is one crack which runs through the centre of the branch and finishes as a hairline on the first birds head. The ivory displays the usual age yellowing - most visible on the back view. This item would have originally come with a carved wood base but will stand on its own on a stable horizontal surface. 7.8 inches (20cm)long 3 inches (7.6cm)high . Please note - purchasers from outside the European Union will require a CITES Certificate and may also require import documentation within their own country.

A rare and unusual flower vase skillfully made in bronze using a 'basket-weave' technique. This item has a tin liner and was made during the Meiji period (1868-1911}. Condition is extremely fine with no damages or repairs and a very good patination. 9.5 inches(24cm) High 6.5 inches(16.5cm) Diameter.
