A carved soapstone figure depicting what is probably the Daoist Immortal Zhang Xian holding a child. This item was made in China circa 1900-1950 during the late Qing or early Republic period. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the tip of the head covering (please view enlargement 7), no further damages and no repairs. 20cm (7.9inches) high.
A carved green Jadeite brooch, fashioned in Art Deco style and made in China in the 1920s or 1930s during the mid Republic period. Condition - very good - no damages. 4cm (1.5 inches) long; 2.5cm (0.9 inches)wide.
