A silver-lined coconut wine cup carved on the outside with shou marks and auspicious symbols. There is an impressed makers mark to the silver interior. This item was made during the 19th Century. The silver lining is bumped and there is a crack to the base. 1.75 inches (4.5cm) High 3.6 inches (8.5cm) Diameter.

A gilded and skillfully painted stoneware preserve pot, made by Taylor Tunnicliffe, with silver plated rim and handle. The cover is missing. The design was registered in 1886 and this item was probably made during the late 1880s. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. 4.5 Inches (11.5cm) High

SOLD to Switzerland, January 2009 

A large Chinese export teapot with original cover,superbly decorated in underglaze blue - depicting pavillions in a river landscape. The shape is based on a Leeds creamware prototype that was sent to China for copying. The 18th Century gilding was added after arrival in England. This item was made circa 1785-1790 - late in the reign of the Qianlong Emperor. Condition - pristine - shows no sign of use, no chips, cracks or restoration and no wear to the gilding. 5 inches (13cm) High 9.5 inches (24cm) Long 4.9 inches (12.5cm) Diameter across base.

An unusual, press molded, biscuit glazed Japanese teapot made for export during the Meiji period (1868-1911). There has been some restoration to the cover and the handle of the cover has been re-glued (please see pictures). No further damages. 5 inches (13cm) High 6.3 inches (16cm) Long.

A rare and charming 17th/18th Century carving of Kuixing, the 'God of Examinations' - commonly associated with scholars. There is ancient damage to the fore-arms and there are also minor losses to the head (please see pictures). There are some age cracks to the base. 5.5 inches (14cm) High.

A good post 1956, David Leach 'cut - sided' cup and saucer bearing the impressed mark of the Lowerdown pottery. David Leach was the eldest son of Bernard Leach. Cup - 2.75 inches (7cm) High Saucer - 5.3 inches (13.5cm) Diameter.
