A fine, very well potted, 17/18th Century baluster shaped vase (without cover) well painted in shades of underglaze blue, depicting prunus blossom against a "cracked ice" ground. This item was made during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662 - 1722). Condition - excellent. There is a possibility that the rim may have been very slightly reduced and there is an extemely faint (glaze only) crack to the base. No chips, no restoration, 8.75 inches (22.2cm) high.
