A finely worked silver tea strainer intricately carved with flowering plants, shou and fu (long life and good luck) characters and Tang dynasty style squirrel and grapes. The jadeite handle is surmounted with a stylized bat. This item was made in China for export, circa 1890-1910. Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 17cm (6.7 inches) long; 7.6cm (3 inches) diameter.
