Small Bronze Boy on Buffalo Censer Qing Dyn (1644-1908)
A small 17th - 19th Century bronze censer (incense burner) cast in the form of a boy playing a flute and seated on the back of a buffalo. The cover, which is probably matched, is decorated in Shisou style with silver wire inlay. This item was probably made for the scholar's table. Condition - very good. However, this item probably had a removable flute. Otherwise, no damages and no repairs. 8cm (3.1ins)high;9cm (3.5ins)long. Weight 225gm (8oz).
