A small stem dish with stylized peony scrolls painted in under glaze blue inside and under the dish. Around the base is a band of waves. This item was made for the Chinese domestic market circa 1820 - 1880 during the mid 19th Century. Condition - there are chips and "frits" (production glaze losses) to the rim and an owner's mark has been inscribed inside; there are no cracks and there has been no restoration. 9.5cm (3.7inches) diameter; 5.5cm (2.1 inches) high.
