| An attractively gilded mid 19th Century relief-moulded jug decorated in contemporary style with intertwining ivy or convulvulus / "bindweed". On the base is a design registration lozenge with a date letter corresponding to the year 1856. A jug of this form is illustrated (no. 71) in the 1987 Richard Dennis Exhibition Catalogue - "Victorian Relief Moulded Jugs" by Jill Rumsey. Condition - excellent - with no signs of use. 19.8cm (8.75 inches) high. | |||||||||||||||
