Unusual Japanese Export Teapot - Meiji (1868-1912)
An unusual Japanese earthenware teapot made during the late 19th or early 20th Century. This item depicts 'grotesque' figures engaged in a 'tug of war' and carries a maker's seal mark. There is a slight hairline running from the 'pie-crust' rim. No further damages and no restoration. 5.5 inches (14cm) high (with cover)
