A heavily potted 15th Century "Celadon" glazed dish, with bracketed rim; sketchily incised with a floral scroll design (the centre with two lotus flowers) under a thick crackled dull green glaze. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province, eastern China during the early Ming dynasty, circa 1400-1500, possibly for export to Indonesia. Condition - there are glaze imperfections, minor chips to the rim and foot rim and age/use related wear to the inner surface but no cracks and no restoration. 32cm (12.5inches) diameter.
