A beautiful antique Austrian solid silver sugar box in the Biedermeier style with a spectacular full figure finial in the form of a lion. The box is a bombe form and sits on four cast bun feet and the keyhole has an oval reed decorated surround. Good sized at 5 3/8 inches in length, 3 5/8 inches in width and standing 4 inches in height. A wonderful antique Dutch silver chatelaine or purse hanger (tasbeugel) produced in the Netherlands in the year 1856. This chatelaine is pierce decorated in a foliate pattern and has three rivet applied disks on the face. Large sized, it measures a tad more than 4 inches in height, 1 5/8 inches in width and has both a large belt hook and smaller accessory ring.
