Striking modern design ring in sterling & enamel from David-Andersen, an excellent piece designed by Uni David-Andersen. There is a terrific, and well illustrated, bio of Ms. David-Andersen at effie-graa.com that includes an illustration of the matching brooch, part of the Troll Series dating from 1966. The wide band of this ring is mounted with three posts upon which sit multi-hued blue enamel inlaid sterling bezels. The enamel plaques are each a bit more than 1/4 inch square and sit high over the shank, the finger size is approx. 6. Well crafted from heavy gauge sterling and fully hallmarked on the exterior bottom for David-Andersen, Sterling 925S and Norway as shown below. Beautiful example of an Uni design and the condition is excellent. |
