A wonderful handwrought Art Deco solid silver pin from Albert Kahlbrandt (1878 - 1961) of Hamburg. The brooch clearly shows the influence of the Bauhaus in its design & execution, a simple rectangular form, the only decoration is the wave given to the surface plane and the hand hammered texture that highlights it. It is nice sized at 2 3/4 inches in length, a bit more than 1/2 inch in width and is fitted with old style German C catch.
