| Super examples of the artistry of Ed Wiener, one of the finest designers and makers of American Modernist jewelry. Wiener began creating jewelry in 1945 and recently, his work was included in the Messengers of Modernism museum show and some of his pieces are illustrated in the show's catalog. These architectural cufflinks are handmade pieces, the top a construction of diagonal sterling blocks, the design highlighted by applied oxidation. Each cufflink measures 1 inch in length and has a great deal of depth and they are well crafted from heavy gauge sterling. Both are signed on the reverse - Ed. Wiener and marked Sterling. Handsome early modernist pieces and in excellent condition. | ||
