Calima Redware Alcarraza Turtle
A very fine and intact example of a zoomorphic alcarraza representing a turtle. Burnished redware terracotta rich in manganese dioxide deposits. Similar examples are illustrated in Labbe, Colombia before Columbus. Excellent original condition, no restoration.
