A superb Thai seal, with a registered company name in 3 languages, Thai, Chinese and English. Has a dark patinated metal knob on one side of the handle. Well aged ivory and traces of frequent use, the seal image seems to be in fine condition. Traces of the red ink used. Probably from the 1930-1950'ties, but could be older. Handle supposed to be detachable, unscrews a tiny little but not fully, and I didn't want to push it. Can export since it is pre-ban. H: 7,5 cm (3") W: 5 cm (2"), D: 3.3 cm (1.5")

Antique square stone plaque showing the 10 reincarnations of Vishnu, Pala dynasty ca. 12th century. The front side of the plaque has a carved circle with an embossment in the center. From the embossment and around the circle the 10 interpretations of the incarnations of Vishnu are very nicely carved. In each of the 4 corners there is a floral carved motif. The backside of the plaque, shows a seated Vishnu and his consorts, his vehicle the Garuda and probably Buddha on the top, also the backside has floral motif in the corners. These sort of plaques were used as pilgrim tokens brought back from trips to important Vishnu temples. This is a magnificent carving with exquisite details of the reincarnations of Vishnu.
