An antique N-Indian hanging oil lamp of bronze. Very nicely shaped and very decorative. The oil lamp is constructed in two storeys with upper part shaped with 7 small wick compartments for burning oil. The base with a nicely shaped rim. Top of oil lamp has a suspension loop and the chain is 90 cm long. Height of lamp: 16 cm, diameter: 12.5 cm. Condition: very good, one tiny dent on lower rim. Greenish patina.

A 4/6th century Buddha on base seated in Vajrasana. Lord Buddha wearing diaphanous robe covering both shoulders, his face with serene expression, downcast eyes, aquiline nose, smiling lips, elongated earlobes and curled hairdress and usnisha. Both arms broken. This particular Buddha has not been TL-tested, but will be properly documented towards the new owner since the image comes with a history from a European Auction House. More pictures and information on request. 28 cm. high

A well modelled stone carving of the standing Parvati on top of a single Lotus base. Under the base we see the rat (vehicle of Ganesh). Below Parvatis two lower pair of hands is Skandi on left and Ganesh on right. Both well carved. The two upper hands are holding the attributes of Parvati, a mirror and a Vajra (thunderbolt). Early Hinduism in NE-India. A very rare grayish stone carving from Gupta period, 4-6th c. Vishnu stands in erect position with 4 arms. Lower pair of hands and feet over-dimensioned. Vishnu has an elaborate hair-dress and the face is quite serene. Carved lines on the Vishnu shows jewelry and clothes. Condition: a few minor scratches. Hight: 13.5 cm
