An original Burmese Shan, golden triangle knife. Blade of iron. Sheet and part of hilt is plated with thin silver that in places have nice filigree work. Hilt of bone. With red cotton rope knit over the top part of the sheet. This nice knife has been used in daily life probably after being inaugurated in some sort of ceremony. It is old ca. 1940-60, and has taken some beating over the years. Overall length: 37 cm. 150 USD, add 40 usd for shipping & funds transfer.

An impressive graduated reindeer antler horn necklace from Greenland ca. 1950. The necklace constitutes of 30 double drilled beads that are stringed with two wires. The necklace finishes with two barrel-shaped beads and a pin of walrus tooth and a reindeer antler horn bead that is used as a lock. Length: ca. 48 cm. Weight 60 grams.

A superb Thai seal, with a registered company name in 3 languages, Thai, Chinese and English. Has a dark patinated metal knob on one side of the handle. Well aged ivory and traces of frequent use, the seal image seems to be in fine condition. Traces of the red ink used. Probably from the 1930-1950'ties, but could be older. A Chinese silk embroidery e. 20th century. Two foo dogs in a floral environment, one white the other gold/golden brown. Fantastic workmanship in embroidery on a microscopically thin piece of silk. To hold the piece together a likewise thin paper has been applied on the back. From the photos of the back we observe that paper has been applied after the embroidery was finished since the stitching does not go through the paper! Small nicely carved spinach green jade incense bowl with 4 handles. Handles are carved as horned beasts with fierce looks, big eyes and open mouths with sharp teeth. Below the beast faces loops with jade rings. Rim and base of bowl carved with archaic patterns. I think the bowl is from the 1950'ties... Under the base is carved 56 so perhaps from 1956. In any case very nice workmanship. H: 7 cm. Diameter: 14 cm.

A classic master carving in ivory tusk from Burma ca. 1950 AD. Central row has 8 adult elephants, on each sides we have 10 baby elephants all in different postures. This carving depicting the "Hathi" elephant motive was one of the acknowledged figures to be able to master, before graduating from craftsman to expert master carver. L: 29,5 cm or 11.5", diameter: 2.5 cm or 1". Ivory is pre-ban.

Burma, steelyard for weighing goods, most likely fish. Made in carved wood. Made to resemble a crocodile. Some inlays of metal, makes me date this piece to 1940'ties. Definitely a tribal piece from the Shan states, Burma. L: 47 cm, H: 15 cm.
