A superb Thai seal, with a registered company name in 3 languages, Thai, Chinese and English. Has a dark patinated metal knob on one side of the handle. Well aged ivory and traces of frequent use, the seal image seems to be in fine condition. Traces of the red ink used. Probably from the 1930-1950'ties, but could be older. Handle supposed to be detachable, unscrews a tiny little but not fully, and I didn't want to push it. Can export since it is pre-ban. H: 7,5 cm (3") W: 5 cm (2&qu ...click for details

Small nicely carved spinach green jade incense bowl with 4 handles. Handles are carved as horned beasts with fierce looks, big eyes and open mouths with sharp teeth. Below the beast faces loops with jade rings. Rim and base of bowl carved with archaic patterns. I think the bowl is from the 1950'ties... Under the base is carved 56 so perhaps from 1956. In any case very nice workmanship. H: 7 cm. Diameter: 14 cm.

A Chinese silk embroidery e. 20th century. Two foo dogs in a floral environment, one white the other gold/golden brown. Fantastic workmanship in embroidery on a microscopically thin piece of silk. To hold the piece together a likewise thin paper has been applied on the back. From the photos of the back we observe that paper has been applied after the embroidery was finished since the stitching does not go through the paper! Someone appreciated this embroidery a lot since it orginally came in a h ...click for details

A pair of iron red glazed Japanese sake bottles with signs or signatures. Probably from 1960'ties or 1970'ties. The glaze and color of the signs reminds me of the work of the famous Japanese ceramist Shoji Hamada, even though I would to I can not attribute these bottles to him. The bottles are very decorative and as pair they are more attractive than a single piece. The bottles are definitely made by a very skillful ceramic artist, however there is no artist signature. Perfect condition. ...click for details
