A Chinese silk embroidery e. 20th century. Two foo dogs in a floral environment, one white the other gold/golden brown. Fantastic workmanship in embroidery on a microscopically thin piece of silk. To hold the piece together a likewise thin paper has been applied on the back. From the photos of the back we observe that paper has been applied after the embroidery was finished since the stitching does not go through the paper!
