Two wood, papier maché, plaster and fabric painted figures. Origin and period: Italia, probably region of Naples, middle 1800's. Condition: breaks of the feet, lacks and tears of fabric (all can be repaired), see detailed photographs. Infrequent figures, very expressive faces and fresh colours. Dimensions: woman 13 1/3" high (34 cm), man 15 1/8" (38,5 cm) high.

Splendid early 1800's reliquary richly decorated with a gilt paperoles on blue background with scrolls, foliages, flowers, cutains on red painted glasses and a very beautiful central scene with two kneeded angels on each side of the terracotta gilded and painted figure of the Virgin. The reliquary contain three precious relics of Ste F. Chantal, St F. de Sales and Sts Martirs.
