The panel is displaying two finely detailed peacocks below a flowering tree surrounded by birds and butterflies. The combination of yulan magnolia (Yu Lan) and peony flower means "Yu Tang Fu Gui" in Chinese. The birds on plum tree is called "Xi Shang Mei Shao" in Chinese. The mother of the pearl are shaped in "Fu" and "Shou" characters which means luck and long life. Panel size: 16 1/2" x 12 1/4". Overall very good condition.
