A large Chinese famille rose porcelain vase painted with 18 Lohans, from the early 20th century. Lohans are well-known for their great wisdom, courage and supernatural power. Due to their abilities to ward off the evil, Lohans have became guardian angels of the Buddhist temple or in the main hall standing guard. The painting on this vase is rich and colorful, full of details. The vase has 18" tall. Net weight 17 lb. Good condition with no crack or restoration. Faded color and loss in gilt.
