An Unusual Japanese Silk Panel, 19/20 century
This is an unusual Japanese silk tapestry panel probably made in Meiji period (1868-1912). Be honest I don't have much knowledge about it and never see a piece like this before, but I was really attraceted by the beauty of this piece. It looks gorgeous with strong and vibrant color. It should be handwoven and have a kind of brocade on the silk ground. It also has a patterned border around the edge. The design and pattern are very cheerful, bright, and lovely. It is unusual for Japanese textile.

Dimension: 23" x 23". Condition: Very good condition.
