We are proud to present this magnificent and very rare gilt with polychrome sandstone sculpture of Bodhisattva Guanyin, early Ming dynasty,circa 14th-15th century or earlier.
This fine figure of Guanyin carved seated in " rajalilasana " position,with her right hand in "bhumisparshamudra " , the left hand holding a " scripture " and resting on her right knee.
Her face was carved with a serene expression and a downcast gentle eyes,fine nose and full lips, her hair held up with a simple hair robe and dressing in loose flowing robes.
Condition : In PERFECT condition,no chip,or broken and no restoration. The traces of gilt and pigment of red, green, blue remaining.
