This is a very rare piece of ancient jewellery from Ban Chieng period, 1500 B.C
These agates was found by excavating from the grave ( photo No. 6 ) in a very good condition. There is only a few pieces found in each time and it was take long time to have many pieces in the matching color. This is the light brown ( Honey ) color.
This is an authentic agate which can be tell by the way of drilling the hole in an ancient way. ( New imitate one using the modern drill bit to drill the hole. ). Another way to tell that it is a real agate not the modern man-make agate ( make from plastic ) is by scratching on the glass surface. Real agate is harder than glass, so it can cut glass.
There are 72 pieces of agate and one large Pendant.
